scholarship criteria
The winners of the VPC Community Involvement Scholarship will be those students who best demonstrate service to and involvement with their “communities” -- defined broadly as a geographic community, school community, or sports/hobby/activity community. Weight will be given to applicants who have made positive and/or innovative contributions to improve their respective communities.
Submissions should include an essay, video, or any other work that best demonstrates the applicant's contributions to their community. Creativity is encouraged but a well written essay is sufficient to apply.
Deadline to apply is February 21, 2025
Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum 3.0 GPA (proof of grades should be submitted - can be an official transcript, unofficial transcript, or copy of grades from an online grading system)

A student who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the summer or fall immediately following the award (both high school seniors and current college students are encouraged to apply)

Attending a vocational/technical school, two-year college/university, or four-year college/university

Relatives of the selection committee are ineligible (please note that the selection committee will change each year)

Prior winners of the scholarship are ineligible
